Our Philanthropic Goals

Since the start of our charitable giving program in 2013, News Corp has contributed financial support and other resources to more than 50 charities, many of which benefit young people and veterans in need, including people of color, families in economically disadvantaged environments, and women, along with organizations that defend freedom of the press and promote news literacy. Among our current Philanthropy Partners are A Better Chance, Eagle Academy, Homes For Our Troops, Urban Alliance, Posse Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the International Center for Journalists.

We invest in organizations that strengthen and support students by providing innovative approaches to learning, including tutoring, mentorship, educational supplies, internships and other valuable resources for families in under-resourced communities.

A free press is the hallmark of a robust and functioning democracy. As a company committed to informing with a purpose, we support organizations that protect and defend the ability of journalists to fulfill their vital function around the world, and that educate students and citizens about news literacy.

We are committed to supporting veterans as they transition from the armed services to civilian life by partnering with organizations that provide assistance to men and women who have served our nation and deserve our help as they pursue an education, seek new jobs and work towards a better future for their families.
